"Mady and Monette" (2015) —
Parisian twins Mady and Monette Marloux have lived together all their lives and always dress the same. For this photo, they acted as each other's mirrors.

"Jimmy" (2014) —
For the first photo of the series, Dodd knitted for 50 hours to craft this red bus seat jumper.

"Dre and Tom" (2019) —
Ford asked skateboarders Dre and Tom to pose for this photo, to step away from the stereotypes around people who fish.

"Nina" (2018) —
Dodd modeled her own knitwear for this photo, which Ford says was one of the simplest in the book.

"Buddy and Taboushka" (2018) —
"I loved the ridiculous idea of a rat in disguise," said Ford in the book. "Nina worked out an intricate cable-knit pattern and we spent ages picking the right yarn to match the rug."

"Fatboy Slim" (2018) —
Shot on Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim)'s rooftop, this image required 63 hours of knitting. Ford balanced precariously on a ladder to capture the eight-meter-wide smiley face.

"Calum" (2017) —
This is one of Ford's favorite pictures. The model's outfit was the most-time consuming knit, with a total of 97 hours on the needles.

"Fruit Fraud" (2019) —
Ford tried different watermelons and bananas before casting these two. The knitting took four hours.

Joseph Ford's self-portrait (2019) —
For this self-portrait, Ford had Dodd make a yellow and gray jumper to match a graffiti on a wall by the sea. The knitting took 50 hours.

"Invisible Jumpers" by Joseph Ford with knitting artist Nina Dodd is published by Hoxton Mini Press.
