That's a wrap on today's Olympic events. Here's what you need to know
It seems no Olympic day is less hectic than the last.
Norway has made Olympic history with a record 18 golds and 40 total medals. The US follows with 11 golds and 32 medals, then comes the Netherlands with 10 golds and 20 medals.
Catch up on today’s medal moments:
Finland won hockey bronze: Finland clinched the men’s ice hockey bronze medal after thrashing Slovakia 6-1.
Another golden Dutch speed skating moment: Marijke Groenewoud won gold in the women’s mass start final. Team USA’s Mia Manganello picked up bronze and was overcome with emotion after crossing the line.
And another: Dutchman Jorrit Bergsma raced to the gold medal in the men’s mass start speed skating final. Team USA’s Jordan Stolz tried to sprint for a bronze but got beat at the wire.
Controversy to triumph: Canada won its first men’s curling gold since 2014 following last week’s curling controversy. The team seems to be doing fine all things considered. Canada also won bronze in women’s curling against the USA.
Germany’s one-two victory: Germany won gold and silver in the two-woman bobsled event. USA’s Kaillie Armbruster Humphries and Jasmine Jones took the bronze.
French one-two: It was a sensational French 1-2 in the women’s 12.5km mass start final as Oceane Michelon and Julia Simon take gold and silver, respectively.
First skimo mixed relay goes to… : France’s Emily Harrop and Thibault Anselmet won the first ever skimo mixed relay gold in Olympic history.
Italian one-two: The host nation’s Simone Deromedis and Federico Tomasoni claimed gold in the men’s ski cross big final.
Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo won…again: The Norwegian becomes the first ever athlete to win six golds at one Winter Games after a victory in the men’s 50km cross-country skiing mass start.

Figure skating gala: The figure skating exhibition gala boasted an impressive line-up of performers including gold-medalist Alysa Liu and Olympic favorite Ilia Malinin.
Standout sibling: Jordan Stolz is one of the breakout stars of these Winter Olympics. His sister, Hannah, is a star taxidermist. Which one would engender more follow up questions should you encounter them at a coffee shop or a bar?
Bobsled crash: Bobsledder Jakob Mandlbauer is “responsive” following a heavy crash by one of the Austrian four-man bobsled teams earlier today.

Finland wins hockey bronze medal after thrashing Slovakia
That turned out to be very simple for Finland, which will leave Milan with a well-earned bronze medal.
They were just simply the better team in the bronze medal game, with the Slovakians looking pretty disappointed by their performance on the ice.
To rub salt into the wound, Finland still had time to make it 6-1 before the game was up. They were muted celebrations from the Finnish players, though, who clearly wanted more from their Olympic campaign.
Finland makes it 5-1 in bronze medal game
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is that.
Finland scores a fifth to put this game out of reach for the Slovakians who look dejected on the ice.
The goal was simple enough for Joel Armia, who gained possession in a turnover and struck into an empty net when Slovakia was pushing on.
Just three minutes left until Finland can properly celebrate a bronze medal.
Finland scores twice in quick succession during frantic third period
Is that the bronze medal decided now?
Finland scored to make it 3-1 shortly after the start of this third period, and then made it 4-1 just 42 seconds later.
Roope Hintz was the scorer of Finland’s third goal before Kaapo Kakko probably put this game to bed.
A massive task now facing Slovakia with around 10 minutes left to play.

Third period starts in bronze medal game with Finland just ahead
We are back underway in the third period of this bronze medal game.
Slovakia will hope to start the way it ended the second period, where it cut Finland’s lead in half to 2-1.
Just 20 minutes for the players to get themselves a bronze medal.
From controversy to triumph for Canada's curling team
Canada just won the gold medal in men’s curling, their first since 2014. You are probably familiar by now with the curling controversy involving Canada and Sweden last week, but no fear if not because we’re here to fill you in.
In last week’s round-robin game, Sweden’s Oskar Eriksson suggested Canada’s Marc Kennedy broke the rules by touching the curling stone after it was released.
Kennedy shot back, Eriksson rebutted, multiple F-bombs were dropped and Kennedy eventually earned an inappropriate behavior warning from World Curling.
In the days following, World Curling put out a statement having to explain why it effectively relies on the honor system at times, and moving two officials between the four sheets to observe deliveries.
When Canada lined up for its round-robin game the next day against Switzerland one sheet over from Sweden, you got the feeling fans were hoping for a WWE-style showdown.
But Switzerland beat Canada 9-5 and on the world marched. Canada marched on to win gold, in fact.

Slovakia cuts Finland's lead in half to end second period
That’s a great time for Slovakia to score, just 30 seconds before the end of the second period.
Tomas Tatar capitalised on some poor judgement from goalie Juuse Saros, who came out with the puck around the glass. The decision handed Tatar the perfect chance to score and he didn’t need asking twice.
Slovakia will now have the momentum heading into the third period which is coming up shortly.
Canada rides 3-point 9th end to men's curling gold; Team GB takes silver
Great Britain began the 10th end in need of two points to force an extra end and three points to win the gold medal game outright.
Both Canada and Team GB filled the house with stones early, setting the stage for chaos with the final stones.
Each team started slamming their shots into the house, with Canada and Team GB both making clutch shots - at one point combining for three consecutive double take-outs.
With the hammer in hand and Canada lying two, British skip Bruce Mouat needed a miraculous double take-out to extend the match. He was not able to pull off the impossible shot, and Canada won the game by a score of 9-6.
For Canada it’s their first men’s curling gold since 2014 and Team Great Britain will have to settle for silver for the second consecutive Olympics.
Switzerland took bronze in the event with a 9-1 win over Norway on Friday.
Germany wins gold and silver in two-woman bobsled, USA takes bronze
Germany took gold and silver in the two-woman bobsled event. USA’s Kaillie Armbruster Humphries and Jasmine Jones take the bronze.
Laura Nolte and Deborah Levi came in first place with a time of 3:48.46.
The other two USA teams, one including Elana Meyers Taylor – who is the most decorated female Winter Olympian along with to Bonnie Blair – came in fifth and seventh place.

Kaillie Armbruster Humphries and Jasmine Jones take the lead in the 2-woman bobsled!
There are only two teams left to compete, which means the duo is guaranteed to medal.
Finland doubles its lead over Slovakia and steps closer to bronze medal
Erik Haula doubles Finland’s lead with a great strike. It initially looked as though it took a deflection on its way into the net, but replays suggest it might have gone in clean.
Eeli Tolvanen was the Finnish player closest to the net and if it didn’t touch him on the way in, he might done enough to just put off the goalie.
An uphill task now for Slovakia.
Team USA takes the lead in two-woman bobsled
College friends Kaysha Love and Azaria Hill took the lead in the two-woman bobsled event.
The last of Team USA’s bobsledding teams is set to go next.
There are four teams that have yet to compete, so this could all change.
Canada capitalizes on British miscues to seize the lead after 9 ends
A pair of British miscues late in the end opened the door for Team Canada to climb back into the men’s gold medal game.
On their sixth stone, an attempt at a double take-out by Team GB went awry, and then with their seventh stone, the Brits again went for a double take-out and again missed the shot.
With Canada poised to possible earn three points in the end and catapult into the lead, Team GB skip Bruce Mouat had to attempt a perfect freeze against the Canadian stone sitting in the button to avoid disaster.
His weight was perfect, but his line was a few inches off. And in a game of inches, that makes all the difference.
Canadian skip Brad Jacobs stepped up and cooly cleared the British stone to net three points for Canada.
Now it’s Team GB in need of brilliance as the game heads to the 10th and final end with Canada leading 8-6.
Second period underway in men's bronze medal hockey game
We are back underway in Milan with Slovakia looking to strike back against Finland.
It’s the latter on the attack early in this second period, though, looking to take a firm grip on that bronze medal.
Why motherhood was key to this bobsledding champion's Olympic glory
Elana Meyers Taylor won gold in the monobob earlier this week, earning her first gold medal and becoming the joint-most decorated female American Winter Olympian all time next to speed skating legend Bonnie Blair.
Meyers Taylor will take to the track again in the next hour with teammate Jadin O’Brien in the final round of the two-woman bobsled event.
After her gold medal moment earlier this week, Meyers Taylor laughed off any notion that she was in the middle of a life-changing moment.
The singular focus required to be an Olympic athlete has hardly been abandoned but its edges have been softened by medalists who have been through some stuff: failure, injury, disappointment and – in the case Meyers Taylor – motherhood.
Seconds after she secured that elusive gold, Meyers Taylor crumbled to the ground, the American flag draped around her. Her two boys, Noah and Nico, found her – unsure about the commotion and clearly uninterested in the magnitude of the moment. They just wanted to snuggle.

Team Great Britain on track for men's curling gold after 8th end
The ice seems to be tilting towards Team Great Britain at the Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium with just two ends left to play in the men’s gold medal game.
With time starting to run out for Canada, the best they could manage was forcing the Brits to settle for a single point and a one point lead at 6-5.
Canada will now need to force the issue in the final ends if they’re to return to the top of the Olympic men’s curling podium for the first time since 2014.
Finland keeps its lead as first period comes to an end
The Finns edged that first period and are worthy of their slender lead going into the first break of the game.
The lead given to them by Sebastian Aho after seven minutes is by no means secure, though, and Slovakia will be coming out firing in this second period.
