
















Travis Caldwell is a senior editor based at CNN’s Hong Kong bureau, providing editorial guidance and reviews for accuracy as part of the network’s FactCheck team.
Caldwell originally joined CNN in 2014 with Image+Sound Production Services. He later served as a senior researcher at FactCheck’s precursor, The Row, where he worked across assignments including a two-year-long investigation into James Brown’s death, 2020 presidential debate coverage, and Explore Parts Unknown, the digital counterpart to Anthony Bourdain’s award-winning television documentary series on CNN.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Caldwell covered breaking news as a writer, editor and supervisor with CNN Digital’s national desk.
Caldwell is a graduate from Georgia State University. He grew up in the Atlanta area and is an Eagle Scout.
