
Mike Neeves is the Senior Vice President of Program & Content Strategy for CNN. He is responsible for scheduling and content strategy for CNN and HLN across the entire content ecosystem, including domestic and international linear networks, video on demand (VOD), TVE/CNNgo, SVOD, EST, and ancillary platforms. Neeves and his team create and execute both long and short-term programming strategies for live news, events, original series, films, and documentaries. In addition, he oversees cross-platform content operations, systems, and metadata for all CNN and HLN content. He and his team also manage the talent scheduling process for CNN.
Prior to joining CNN in 2014, he was Vice President of Scheduling & Acquisitions at AMC Networks where he led programming strategy across AMC’s linear, on demand, and licensed platforms, successfully establishing AMC as a premium destination for original programming. He has also held executive positions in scheduling, content strategy, and acquisitions at BBC America and Fuse Networks and began his career as a Research Analyst at Lifetime TV in 2002.
He has a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication. After living in New York City for nearly two decades, he relocated to the West Coast in 2020 and is based in CNN’s Los Angeles bureau.
