Alicia Jennings is Vice President and Deputy Bureau Chief at CNN’s Washington Bureau.

In this role, she leads day-to-day newsroom operations, supports editorial strategy, manages resource allocation, and aligns production efforts across CNN’s newsgathering operation. She is responsible for ensuring consistent, high‑quality execution during major news events and across the bureau’s daily coverage.

Before joining CNN, Jennings held senior producer roles at NBC News, where she spent many years covering the White House. Earlier in her career, she served as a Legislative Aide to the U.S. Senate Committee on Judiciary.

Over the course of her career, Jennings has developed a 360-degree view of Washington through her coverage of seven presidential election cycles, three White House administrations, foreign policy and intelligence communities, and serving as a staffer on Capitol Hill. Her field work extends to nearly 70 countries and 50 states. She has also led the coverage of high-profile, consequential live events, including presidential inaugural ceremonies, State of the Union addresses, and prime-time presidential addresses.

Jennings served previously on the Board of Directors for the White House Correspondents’ Association. She holds an A.B. degree in Government from Dartmouth College.
