What we covered here
• Former assistant testifies: An ex-employee of Sean “Diddy” Combs testified today in his sex-trafficking trial under the pseudonym “Mia.” She said the music mogul physically and sexually assaulted her repeatedly when she worked for him, and she felt “trapped” with no safe way to report the abuse.
• The trial so far: Mia is the latest witness to accuse Combs of various forms of abuse. Cassie Ventura, Combs’ former girlfriend and the prosecution’s star witness, gave nearly 20 hours of often graphic testimony about the physical and sexual abuse she says she endured during their relationship.
• Federal charges: Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges that include racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to life in prison.
• Editor’s Note: If you or someone you know is struggling with intimate partner violence, there are resources available, including the National Domestic Violence Hotline.
