Results: Michigan state senate special election

Democrats need to win this highly competitive State Senate district if they want to maintain their narrow margin in the chamber. Democrat Chedrick Greene, a firefighter and Marine veteran, faces Republican lawyer Jason Tunney. While the district voted for former Vice President Kamala Harris by less than one percentage point last year, Democrats have consistently overperformed in special elections since President Donald Trump returned to office.
