'Iran and Israel have halted their attacks on each other in the worst escalation since the April truce, after the US President intervened. An Israeli source and a US official familiar with the matter say that as Israel was preparing for a significant attack on Tehran, President Donald Trump told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold off on any more retaliatory strikes. This was during the two leaders' second phone call in less than 24 hours since Iran launched its first strikes on Sunday. Netanyahu said attacks in Lebanon against Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah will continue, and Iran warned that if that were to happen, they would continue their strikes against Israel.

'New York City is buzzing as the Knicks take on the San Antonio Spurs tonight in game three of the NBA Finals. The Knicks are two wins away from their first championship since 1973. President Trump is expected to attend tonight's game at Madison Square Garden after being invited by Knicks owner James Dolan. And because of the president's attendance, there's heightened security in the city with essentially a five-block lockdown around the garden. Some Knicks fans told CNN they aren't happy about Trump's visit.

I think people should still come out. I don't even think Trump should even be here, to be honest with you. He doesn't really care about himself as a New Yorker. We've been waiting for this for, like, how long? And, you know, a lot of people can't afford to get into the game on one of those people. He doesn' live here and he's kind of pooped on us for a while. You know. So, like I think this is our time and he is distracting from our time.

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani will be there, too, and said he bought his own standing room only ticket for tonight's game.

I bought my tickets for nearly a thousand dollars from Madison Square Garden. I'll be going to tonight's game three and I'll be standing for the duration of the game.

'A federal judge has voided President Trump's requirement of a $100,000 application fee for H-1B visas. The judge ruled that Trump lacked authority to impose the new policy on the visas, and only Congress had the power to change the policy to include this kind of requirement. A coalition of Democratic state attorneys general brought the case in December, months after Trump announced the additional application fee. The H-1B visas allow highly skilled foreign workers in specialized fields to work for US companies. Economists have argued the program allows US companies to maintain competitiveness and grow their business, creating more jobs in the country.

'Two Virginia residents have filed a lawsuit trying to put a stop to the UFC fight at the White House slated for this Sunday. The lawsuit argues that the stage isn't authorized without congressional approval or environmental review. It also argues that the use of the White house grounds for a private for-profit sports event will financially benefit the UFC president, Dana White, and Trump himself. Citing a report in the spring that Trump bought $50,000 in stocks in UFC's parent company. The lawsuit says the event is a celebration of the UFC's brand and Trump's 80th birthday instead of America's 250th anniversary, as it was framed by the administration. A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to respond by tomorrow evening to the lawsuit. CNN has reached out to the White House and UFC for comment.

Apple's making some major changes to keep up with its AI competition. What's next? Today was likely the last big event for Tim Cook before he steps down as Apple's CEO in September. And Siri's getting a big update. CNN's Lisa Eadicicco breaks it down.

Hi Krista. Apple on Monday announced a new version of Siri called Siri AI. The new version of Apple's digital helper will be able to refer to context stored on your iPhone and analyze content on a person's screen to answer questions in a more personalized way. For example, if you forgot the name of the restaurant that a friend recently texted you about, you'll be able to ask Siri about that. And this comes after Apple has been criticized for falling behind in the AI race and after the new version of Siri has faced delays. The upgrade should hopefully help Apple's digital helper catch up to rivals like ChatGPT and Google's Gemini.
