'Four astronauts are preparing to blast off deep in space for a 10-day orbit around the moon from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Things were going smoothly, but right before launch, NASA resolved an issue with the flight termination system and a battery problem. The journey marks the first time astronauts have come near the moon in more than 50 years. The mission could break the distance records set by the Apollo program. Traveling farther from Earth than any human ever has. NASA says the diverse crew embarking on a historic and risky lunar venture won't land on the moon this time around because it doesn't have the capability. The launch comes as Elon Musk's rocket company SpaceX reportedly filed for a massive IPO in what might be the largest of all time, according to multiple reports. SpaceX did not immediately respond to a request for comment, and the SEC said it had no comment on the matter. SpaceX merged with Musk's artificial intelligence company XAI earlier this year, and the company going public on Wall Street could push its value even higher.

'Tonight, President Donald Trump is expected to give an announcement on the war with Iran from the White House. It's the first major national address he's given on the war. A White House official says Trump will reaffirm his intention to end the conflict within the next two to three weeks. Trump says he'll also criticize NATO for not supporting the operation, saying he's absolutely considering removing the U.S. From the alliance. Meanwhile, Sirens rang out in Tel Aviv on the first night of Passover as Israel intercepted a barrage of missiles Iran fired. At least 16 people, including an 11-year-old girl, were wounded from Iranian missile fragments. And in Lebanon, health officials say at least 50 people were killed in Israeli attacks within 24 hours.

President Donald Trump's push to end birthright citizenship was met by a suspicious Supreme Court this morning.
Solicitor General D. John Sowers / Chief Justice John Roberts

We're in a new world now. Well, it's a new word. It's the same Constitution.

That's Chief Justice John Roberts when Trump and Solicitor General D. John Sowers said the order is intended to end quote, birth tourism, questioned how the framers of the 14th amendment could possibly have foreseen their words being used that way, given that no such concept existed at the time. Several of the court's conservatives suggested the case could be decided without even reaching the broad constitutional arguments the Trump administration is raising. That's because Congress passed laws mirroring the reconstruction era amendment's language decades after the 14th Amendment was ratified. Trump attended the hearing for roughly 75 minutes, becoming the first sitting president to do so, but it didn't seem to influence the justices. The court's decision is expected by the end of June.

'A federal judge delayed Luigi Mangione's federal trial by one month, but denied his attorney's request to push it to next year. Mangione lawyers had expressed that they couldn't prepare for trial while defending the 27-year-old in state court at the same time. Jury selection begins on October 5th, a month after it had been previously scheduled. Opening statements in the case are now scheduled for October 26th or November 2nd. The judge's decision means Mangione is expected to stand trial in federal court about four months after the scheduled start of his trial on separate charges in New York State Court, although she indicated the federal trial's new dates could be revised. Mangione is accused of killing United Health Care CEO Brian Thompson in 2024. And pleaded not guilty to federal and state charges. If convicted of the most serious charges, he could face life in prison. Coming up, another weight loss drug is hitting the market.

'The Food and Drug Administration has approved the second GLP-1 pill for weight loss. CNN's Meg Tirrell explains.

'The FDA has approved a drug called Foundeo. It's made by Eli Lilly. It's given as a daily pill, and it works similarly to drugs like Ozempic, Wigovia, and Zep-Bound by mimicking a hormone known as GLP-1. This one follows another pill that was approved in December, hit the market earlier this year, called the Wagovi Pill, sold by Novo Nordisk. And Eli Lilly says that its drug represents an advance compared with that pill because Fondeo doesn't need to be taken at any particular time of day or with any restrictions on food and water, whereas the Wokovi Pill must be taken right when you wake up in the morning on an empty stomach.
