Trump’s words are 'disgusting', Iranian official tells CNN in Tehran

CNN's Frederik Pleitgen reports from Tehran where Iranians are lashing out at President Trump after the US president said earlier Wednesday he believed the Memorandum of Understanding was 'over' Speaking at a NATO summit in Turkey, Trump called the country’s leaders 'scum' and said they were 'evil', following a night of strikes in the region after Iran targeted commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz Tuesday.

Frederik Pleitgen is reporting from Iran with his team producer Joseph Ataman and camerawoman Claudia Otto.

CNN operates in Iran only with the permission of the government but maintains full editorial control of its reports.
