“Play with love” and “be part of history”: Roberto Carlos outlines his World Cup goals for the Brazil team
The Brazilian World Cup legend, who lifted the iconic trophy at the 2002 tournament, wants to see the class of 2026 "play with love", and "be part of history," ahead of the Seleção making their tournament bow against 2022 semifinalists Morocco in New York New Jersey stadium on Saturday evening. Speaking to CNN’s Maria Santana at Rexona New York Sweat Club, the now 53-year-old Carlos recalls "a very united group" back in 2002, akin to "a family," with "no egos, we were there to play soccer."
