Jonathan Watts: 'You can kill a journalist, but you cannot silence the story'

When Dom Phillips and Bruno Pereira were killed in June 2022 in the Javari Valley of the Amazon, Phillips had written 384 pages and was investigating threats to the rainforest. In a bid not to silence their work, a team of writers — including his close friend Jonathan Watts — came together in an act of solidarity to complete his urgent posthumous book, 'How to Save the Amazon: A Journalist’s Deadly Quest for Answers.'
