The Philadelphia Eagles dominated Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, crushing the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 at the Superdome in New Orleans.

The Chiefs were looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls, but they were overwhelmed from the start.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for two touchdowns and ran for one on his way to winning the Most Valuable Player award, and the Eagles defense suffocated the Chiefs offense and star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, sacking him six times and forcing three turnovers.

The game was a rematch of the Super Bowl two years ago, which the Chiefs won. But this time, the Eagles came out on top to claim their second Super Bowl title in franchise history. They won their first one seven years ago.

Here are some of the stories that made headlines over the past week, as well as some photos that caught our eye.

Musk, the world’s richest man who is now leading a sweeping effort to reshape the federal government, defended his far-reaching moves. “The people voted for major government reform, and that’s what the people are going to get,” he said.
