Indian migrants seen in shackles as they board deportation flight from US

Lawmakers and protestors were seen demonstrating outside India's parliament following the deportation of around 100 Indian migrants back to the country from the US. Following footage released by the US Border Patrol showing migrants in shackles while boarding the plane before the 40-hour flight, the protestors set alight an effigy of President Donald Trump amid his administration's migration crackdown.

<p>A top Iranian official has cast doubts on a deal being imminently reached between the US and Iran, telling CNN major roadblocks persist on issues like Iran’s nuclear programme and uranium enrichment. Ebrahim Azizi, the head of the Iranian parliament’s national security and foreign policy committee told CNN’s Frederik Pleitgen that a “lack of trust” remains between the two sides and Tehran is yet to see a “serious will” from Washington to finalise the framework for a deal. </p>
