CNN Heroes Legacy Award: Michael J. Fox
Michael J. Fox is honored with the second annual CNN Heroes Legacy Award at CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at age 29, and Fox has brought hope to millions worldwide since launching the The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in 2000. They have funded $2 billion so far to speed up Parkinson’s research and eradicate the disease. Fox says he was unprepared for the diagnosis when he met with a neurologist in 1991, as he described in the recent documentary, "Still".
