Jane Fonda, an acclaimed actress also known for being an outspoken activist, was honored by the Screen Actors Guild on Sunday with its Life Achievement Award.

The award acknowledges her work as an actor and humanitarian.

"Jane Fonda is a trailblazer and an extraordinary talent — a dynamic force who has shaped the landscape of entertainment, advocacy and culture with unwavering passion,” SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher said. “We honor Jane not only for her artistic brilliance but for the profound legacy of activism and empowerment she has created."

Fonda has been nominated for three individual SAG Awards during her career, and she has won two Academy Awards, two BAFTA Awards, seven Golden Globes Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award.
