The National Football League is back, but it doesn't look quite the same.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, only a limited number of fans could attend Thursday night's season opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans. Just 22% of the seats were allowed to be filled at Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium. Those in attendance also had to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
Other teams aren't allowing any fans right now.
It's not just the stands that look different. No cheerleaders, mascots or sideline reporters are allowed on the field, according to league officials.
Even the players and coaches have new protocols. They'll have to avoid the typical post-game handshakes and hugs with the opposing team.
