President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump made a largely ceremonial visit to Japan to recognize the new emperor.
The President's four-day trip included an imperial banquet, a sumo wrestling tournament, golf with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and a visit to Japanese and American troops aboard a helicopter carrier.
He has begun an intensive schedule of foreign travel that will take him to Europe and then back to Asia over the next month.
