A former attorney for President Donald Trump, Michael Cohen made his way quickly from a top Trump loyalist to an vocal, personal critic — and reported to federal prison on Monday, May 6.

Cohen spilled into public view with his staunch defenses of Trump during the presidential campaign, while behind the scenes, the Trump Organization executive acted as Trump's fixer and brokered payments he later testified were hush-money in part to help Trump's 2016 bid. He pleaded guilty to a raft of charges, including some implicating Trump, and was sentenced to three years in prison last December.

Ahead of his appearance in prison, Cohen testified about Trump before the House Oversight Committee, and shortly before he began serving his sentence, Cohen said, "There still remains much to be told."
