Smoke billows as fire engulfs the spire of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Monday, April 15. In a televised address to the nation on Tuesday night, French President Emmanuel Macron vowed to rebuild Notre Dame. Wealthy donors have already pledged more than $700 million to restore the church.
