HLN's "Morning Express" host Robin Meade, right, with her father, Linro Meade, and her brother in 1977, New London, Ohio.

Linro Meade was the last child of 14 born to Robert and Myrtie Meade. In this photo, he is about 3 years old in the backyard of the home where the family lived in Eastern Kentucky.

This is the house where Linro Meade was born, built by hand by his father on rented land using no modern machinery. The chimney was made from rocks and clay mortar and the lumber is rough sawn. It was never painted and had no running water or heat, with the exception of a small fireplace.

This is Linro Meade in junior high, where he acquired the nickname "Lenny."
