The previous day, Trump made headlines with his abrupt firing of FBI Director James Comey. The move <a href="index.php?page=&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2F2017%2F05%2F10%2Fpolitics%2Fdonald-trump-henry-kissinger%2F" target="_blank">drew comparisons</a> to former President Richard Nixon, who also fired the man leading an investigation into his associates' actions.
