
Spanish giant Real Madrid needed to overhaul a 2-0 first-leg defeat by Germany's Wolfsburg to reach a sixth straight Champions League semifinal.

Real's Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo struck in the 16th minute to give his side hope at the Bernabeu stadium in Madrid.

And just over a minute later Ronaldo scored again with a glancing header into the far corner to wipe out the deficit. Game on.

Ronaldo completed his hat-trick late on to give Real a stunning victory and keep alive hopes of an 11th Champions League title.

Manchester City was locked at 2-2 with Paris St. Germain after the first leg, but Sergio Aguero won a penalty when he was brought down in the area.

However, the Argentine striker fired wide -- how costly would that prove for City?
