Serena Williams eased into the Australian Open final with a 6-0 6-4 victory over Agnieszka Radwankska.

Fourth seed Radwanska was unable to win a single game in an opening set that lasted a mere 20 minutes. The Pole came back from a break down in the second set to lead 4-3, but lost her serve at 4-4 as Williams regained control.

World No. 1 Williams is yet to lose a set in the tournament so far and is aiming for a record-equaling 22nd grand slam title.

"I'm not here to have sympathy," the American's coach Patrick Mouratoglou said of the one-sided first set. "My job is to win. If I start to have sympathy, I cannot do my job."

Williams will face Angelique Kerber in the final, after the German seventh seed ended British underdog Johanna Konta's incredible run with a 7-5 6-2 victory.

Australia-born Konta was playing in the first grand slam semifinal of her career, and was the first British representative to reach the last four since 1983.

Kerber will play in her first grand slam final, having reached semis at the 2011 U.S. Open and Wimbledon the following year.
