Kelly is scheduled to come down to Earth on March 3, according to NASA, after spending 522 days in space. On September 17, 2015, he snapped a photo during an early morning flyover of the United States.

Kelly began his year-in-space mission on March 27. He launched from Kazakhstan aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket along with two cosmonauts.
