The blue moon illuminated Walla Walla, Washington, <a href="index.php?page=&url=http%3A%2F%2Fireport.cnn.com%2Fdocs%2FDOC-1261286">Earl Blackaby </a>said. The region has been dealing with some wildfires in the Blue Mountains, but that did not alter the color of the moon, he explained. "The moon looks gold and shines in the sky like a big lightbulb," he said.
