"I thought I would only hurt myself for not being worthy enough to eat but it's not true. ... It will ruin lives," Rachael Farrokh wrote on YouTube in a passionate plea for help to pay for a life-saving treatment for anorexia nervosa.

"There is only one hospital in the country that specializes in refeeding patients at such a low body weight and it's my mission to get her there. If she receives too many calories her metabolism will kick up and she will lose even more weight. This is a VERY delicate medical situation," Farrokh's husband, Rod Edmondson, wrote on a GoFundMe page created to raise money for her life-saving treatment.

"It's not about the food; it's about many issues layered with trauma and control and having no self-worth," Farrokh wrote on YouTube.

"Time is of the essence and I don't want to lose the most important person in my life. She is bedridden, and I had to leave my job to give her round the clock care. Home nurses, physical therapist and even physiotherapist won't even see her due to the liability of her condition," husband Rod Edmondson wrote in a plea on the GoFundMe page.
