Yasmine Habash is in Nepal searching for her mother, Dawn, who was hiking in the hard-hit Langtang region when the earthquake hit.

Dawn Habash, 57, began traveling solo at age 19, inspiring her children to see the world.

Yasmine and Dawn were mother and daughter but also the best of friends. They traveled every year to India in search of harmony and peace.

Their last trip took them to the western Indian state of Rajasthan, up to Dharamsala, the capital of the Tibetan government in exile, and to the Hindu holy cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Yasmine and her brother, Khaled, have talked to people who saw their mom in Nepal, including an Italian woman who took breathtaking photographs of Dawn the day before the quake.

Yasmine and Khaled have set up a Facebook page to help find their mother, and a GoFundMe page to help finance the search. A Langtang Missing/Found People site helped them recreate her path.

Khaled says he's visited more than 50 countries because of his mother's inspiration.

Yasmine distributed these family photos, including this one with Khaled and their mother, in the hope that they would help in their search for Dawn.
