Introducing TF-X —
What will personal transportation look like in the future? Maybe like this, if aerospace company Terrafugia succeeds in its efforts to build TF-X.

1,2,3 take off! —
TF-X is designed as a four-seat, plug-in hybrid electric flying car that's capable of performing fly-by-wire vertical take offs and landings.

Where's my (flying) car? —
According to the U.S.-based company, TF-X will be able to fit into a single car garage and will have a non-stop flight range of at least 500 miles.

First attempt: Transition —
TF-X might be at least eight to 12 years away, but Terrafugia has already built a vehicle that flies.

Skyworthy car —
Since 2009, the company has been flying prototypes of Transition, a two-place, fixed wing, street legal airplane.

Yours with $279,000 —
Transition runs on premium unleaded automotive gasoline and can fly with a cruise speed of 100 miles per hour. So far, the company says it has received more than 100 orders for the vehicle.
