Scattering C.J.'s ashes —
C.J. Twomey, the 20-year-old son of Hallie Twomey, took his own life. For years, the Maine mother has struggled with his suicide. She searched his belongings for a note with a clue of what tormented him. She sought counseling and attended support groups. Nothing helped, she said. She has sought the help of strangers to scatter his ashes from Massachusetts to Japan in the hope that her adventure-loving son can become part of the world he left behind. A Facebook page called "Scattering CJ" has more than 17,000 likes.
