Mall of the future? —
This Christmas, eBay has teamed up with three retailers in the Westfield San Francisco Center to launch a series of 'digital storefronts'. This online/offline shopping experience could revolutionize the way we shop.

Sony touchscreen window —
Shoppers can scroll through products using a giant touchscreen. If they find something they like they can click 'Order' and a link will be sent to their mobile phone. Once they click on the link customers can pay using Paypal and credit or debit cards.

Hybrid experience —
Fashion brand Rebecca Minkoff is also involved in the project at Westfield. By combining virtual shopping with bricks and mortar, shoppers get to see their products in enormous detail before purchasing.

Connected Glass —
The technology used is called "Connected Glass" and is likely to be used to create new shopping opportunities, particularly in busy airports and transport hubs.

Footwear company TOMS also has a digital storefront at the mall. New shoes can be ordered and delivered to your home for free, so no need to lug them around while you continue shopping.
