The CNN MultiChoice African Journalist 2013 Award —
The Overall Winners: Msindisi Fengu (centre left) and Yandisa Monakali (centre right) from Daily Dispatch in South Africa, won for their investigation series "School Hostels of Shame." The pair also jointly won the Print General News Award.

The Coca-Cola Company Economics & Business Award —
Tolu Ogunlesi (left), a freelancer for Ventures Africa in Nigeria, received The Coca-Cola Company Economics & Business Award from Dr. Susan Mboya, President, Coca-Cola Africa Foundation (right).

Mohamed Amin Photographic Award —
Photojournalist Adrian de Kock (left) wins the Mohamed Amin Photographic Award for his entry "The Jump that Started it All."

MSD Health and Medical Award —
Brenda Okoth (left), of The Star in Kenya is pictured with Michael Azrak, Managing Director MSD South Africa, who presented her with the MSD Health and Medical Award.

Francophone General News Awards Print and Electronic Media —
Nassima Oulebsir (left) won the Francophone General News (Print) Award for her piece "Enfants nés au maquis cherchent identité."

Print General News Award —
Msindisi Fengu (far left) and Yandisa Monakali (centre), pictured here with Charles Kie (right), were the joint winners of the Print General News Award. They also took home the Overall Winners Award for 2013.

Radio General News Award —
Tom Mboyo, CNN MultiChoice African Journalist 2012 (right) presented Florence Dallu (left) with the Radio General News Award for her piece "Children in survival sex," where she uncovered the shocking reality of how young children are exploited through sex work in Korogocho slums.

Sport Award —

Television Features Award —
Roseline Wangui (left) and Wambui Kurema were joint winners of the Television Features Award. Joyce Mhaville, ITV Tanzania (right) presented this award at the ceremony.

Environment Award —
Oluwatoyosi Ogunseye of the Sunday Punch in Nigeria, won the Environment Award for her piece "The rich also cry."

Portuguese Language General News Awards TV/Radio —
The Portuguese Language General News TV/Radio Award winner was Selma Inocência (left) from Rede de Comunicação Miramar, Mozambique.

Portuguese Language General News Awards Print —
Lázaro Mabunda (left) from Mozambique, won the Portuguese Language General News Print Award and was presented the award by one of the competition judges, Arlindo Lopes.

Television News Bulletin Award —
Gifty Andoh Appiah (left), from Joy News TV in Ghana, won the Television News Bulletin Award and was presented the award by Deborah Rayner, CNN International.

Digital Platform Award —
Thanduxolo Jika (left) and a team of journalists from South Africa won the Digital Platform Award for their informative and interactive website Faces of Marikana.
