Favorites from Techstars demo day —
When it comes to tech startups in Austin, Texas, it's not all about the South by Southwest Interactive festival, pictured, any more. Here's a look at five favorite Austin startups that appeared at this week's Techstars demo day:

Filament Labs —
The Filament Labs app reminds users about their doctors' advice as well as helps keep the lines of communication open between patients and health professionals.

Proto Exchange —
The idea behind Proto Exchange is to let small 3-D printing shops across the United States network and team up so they can take on bigger orders they might otherwise have had to turn down.

Testlio —
Austin startup Testlio has created a network of 1,200 testers that put new mobile apps through their paces before being released publicly.

Atlas —
The Atlas team is working on a yet-to-be-released wristband that keeps track of running and walking as well as exercises such as pushups, bicep curls and squats.

Gone —
The app from Gone lets users upload an image of something they no longer want. If the app can find a market for it, Gone will buy it. Otherwise, it will recycle or donate the item to charity.
