Apple's tablets —
IPad sales have dropped 27% since last year and Apple's share of the tablet market is down to 32%. Amazon's Kindle and Google's Nexus tablets have proved tough competition for the iPads.

The original: iPad —
While we'll probably be introduced to a new iPad 5 Tuesday, experts forecast that its upgrades will be modest.

The underdog: iPad mini —
Experts expect the iPad mini's upgrade will be more robust than the iPad's. And since IHS predicts smaller tablets will outsell larger models this year, Apple's next big thing may come in the smaller package.

TouchID not just for the iPhone 5S? —
The biggest blockbuster upgrade in recent Apple history? The fingerprint sensor home button unveiled last month at the iPhone 5S announcement. Could iPad be getting Apple's so-called TouchID technology as well?

Possible screen upgrade for the mini —
Apple has already debuted its Retina display in laptops and the larger iPad. Rumor has it that the high-res display will be coming to the mini as well.

Likely thinner... as usual —
It's not news that each new generation Apple product tends to be thinner than the last. The new iPads will reportedly have a thin film cover instead of the thicker glass used in current models. Predictable -- but for portability, thinner equals lighter, and that's a big plus.
