A plan that worked —
Keith Trotter lost 158 pounds in three years using the same principles that worked for him in business: Research, testing and documenting his results.

A plan that worked —
Trotter had a goal of losing 8 to 10 pounds per month. He lost about 25 pounds by March 2010. Here, he was a little over 350 pounds.

A plan that worked —
Dressing well helped keep his confidence up as he lost weight, Trotter said. "When someone gives you a compliment and says 'You look nice, have you lost weight?' that's like saying, 'Keep up the good work.' " He had some friends who lost weight at the same time and started swapping clothes.

A plan that worked —
By February 2013, Trotter was down to 228 pounds. "Those were my original workout sweats and I'm standing in one leg." He since put on 10 pounds of muscle. Now at 6 feet tall and 238 pounds, with a 40-inch waist, he says he knows he still has some work to do, but is much happier about how he looks and feels.
