
Formula E —
The inaugural season of the FIA's new electric racing series Formula E gets underway in 2014. Details about the new championship have been scarce, but are now starting to emerge.

Formula E —
The championship will be comprised of 10 races, all taking place in city center locations. So far confirmed are Rome, Rio de Janeiro, Los Angeles, Beijing, Bangkok, and Berlin (pictured).

Sounds like sci-fi —
A racing bike from the movie Tron legacy. "If you think of movies like Tron or Star Wars and the noise those cars make, Formula E will sound a lot like that," said Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag.

Formula E —
The car to be used by all competitors, the Spark-Renault SRT 01E, is being produced under the watch of ART Grand Prix team leader Frédéric Vasseur. Renault is not the only F1 legend to be associated with the new cars: McLaren will build the motors, while Williams will produce the battery systems.

Formula E —
Former Formula One driver Lucas di Grassi, pictured, was announced as the series test driver in September 2012. Further announcements are to be revealed soon, expected to coincide with the World Motor Sports Council in September this year.
