
Standing up to harassment —
HarassMap is a volunteer-based initiative aiming to end the social tolerance of sexual harassment in Egypt. Victims and witnesses send reports to the group which then maps each case in order to document the extent of the problem.

A 2008 survey by the Egyptian Center for Women's Rights found that 98% of foreign women in the country and 83% of Egyptian women have been sexually harassed.

HarassMap is also implementing a community outreach program where volunteers visits harassment hotspots to ask people in the street to be watchful guardians against the harassers.
