Brett Prebble riding Green Moon crosses the finish line to win the 2012 Melbourne Cup. The six-year-old Bay Stallion is owned by Australian businessman Lloyd Williams who now has four Cup wins. Green Moon defeated the Gai Waterhouse-trained Fiorente, with Jakkalberry third.

On the first Tuesday of November, millions of Australians drop whatever they're doing to watch the Melbourne Cup, an annual race that dates back to 1861. It's for horses over three years old and attracts some of the best racehorses in the world.
