This romantic sculpture caught the attention of Cindy Dam as she visited the waterfront of Batumi, western Georgia, in early 2012. "Prior to the trip, almost everyone warned me about the danger (though of course they had never visited the region) and that the people were strange," she says "Thus I was very surprised it was nothing like it."

"The view is towards the city and the river in the photo is the joining of the Aragvi and Kura rivers."

"Citizens in a modern city need also green areas and public spaces," he adds, hence the development of vibrant modern attractions such as the pictured fountains and paved seafront area.
