Award-winning French photojournalist Remi Ochlik was killed in the city of Homs while reporting on the bloody conflict in Syria on Wednesday.
After undertaking his first overseas assignment in Haiti aged just 20, Ochlik had covered conflicts around the world. This image, taken by Julien de Rosa of EPA, shows him at work in Egypt.

Last year he spent time in Libya, covering the efforts of rebel fighters during the country's civil war. Here he captured them singing and celebrating on a road just outside the strategic oil town of Ras Lanouf.
