Namibian doctor Helena Ndume is helping to restore sight in a country where tens of thousands of people are blind.

Ndume is head of the eye department in Namibia's largest hospital, Windhoek Central.

Cataracts, though curable, is one of the main causes for blindness in the south west African country of Namibia.

Ndume and her team run four eye camps a year to treat those who can't afford simple surgical procedures.

Ndume reckons that she and her team have so far restored the sight of more than 20,000 people.
