French far-right leader Marine Le Pen said she intends to run in the 2027 French presidential election, despite an appeals court conviction on charges of misappropriating millions of dollars of public funds. Her sentencing includes a two-year jail term, with an additional year at home with an electronic monitoring tag. Le Pen plans to appeal, which could suspended her sentencing.
