Chinese dissident's 30-hour sea escape

Chinese dissident Dong Guangping escaped to South Korea by boat in a 30-hour sea voyage. It's his fourth attempt at fleeing China to reunite with his family in Canada. Dong, who was previously imprisoned, is now in South Korean custody. China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs declined to comment on the case when asked. CNN's Ivan Watson reports.

Tehran students welcome partial return of internet

Some Tehran residents are welcoming the partial restoration of internet in Iran. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian ordered authorities to restore internet access on Tuesday. Monitoring group NetBlocks said the partial restoration came on day 88 of Iran’s internet blackout. Iran began restricting internet access in late December 2025, following mass anti-government demonstrations.
