Trump to GOP: ‘Pretend, please, that I’m on the ballot’

The editor-in-chief of the "Stars and Stripes" military newspaper who was just fired by the Pentagon is now speaking out in his first interview since his termination. Erik Slavin says he was fired for insubordination after telling CBS news any censorship of news for military service members would cross a "red line." Slavin tells Erin Burnett he is "proud" to uphold a standard "put into place by General Dwight Eisenhower during World War II."

In letters released by The Daily Beast, Natalie Harp, executive assistant to President Donald Trump, wrote to him, “You are all that matters to me” and “You have the absolute right to cuss me out,” among other personal lines. CNN’s Alayna Treene reports. CNN has not independently confirmed the letters were sent by Harp.
