Nearly 100 years apart, two designers – the Italian aristocratic and eccentric eponymous founder Elsa Schiaparelli, and current creative director Texas-born Daniel Roseberry – have upheld this mantle in very different periods of history, both pushing fashion and pop culture forward, by encouraging women to break the rules through the simple act of wearing clothes.
