The Syrian directorate-general of antiquities and monuments was positive that the condition of artifacts meant that they could be restored and their "historic value" returned, according to a translation of an article on the <a href="index.php?page=&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dgam.gov.sy%2Findex.php%3Fd%3D314%26id%3D1957" target="_blank" target="_blank">department's website.</a>
