Another fast-moving developing country has seen its house prices pumped up by the spending power of its population, as well as foreign buyers.

Knight Frank's Everett-Allen said higher disposable incomes in emerging markets have helped boost world prices, and she expects the global index to advance further next year.

"There does seem to be confidence in the market again," she said.
