Meg Wagner is the assistant managing editor for CNN Digital’s Live News Team, which is responsible for breaking news coverage across digital platforms.

Wagner joined CNN in 2017, and previously worked as a breaking news editor, covering the day’s biggest stories in real time, including natural disasters, criminal trials, multiple US elections and the global coronavirus pandemic.

Before joining CNN, Wagner was a senior breaking news reporter for Tribune. Previously, she worked as a breaking news reporter on the New York Daily News’ digital news desk, where she covered everything from the 2016 presidential election to terror attacks in Paris, Brussels and San Bernardino.

Wagner graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and a certificate in political campaigning. She was born and raised in Tampa, Florida.
