Rhona Graff testified today in the historic criminal hush money trial of former President Donald Trump. Graff served as Trump's executive assistant for decades, and testified that two contacts she maintained at the Trump Organization were for Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels. Both women say they had affairs with Trump and were paid to keep quiet, which Trump denies. CNN's Laura Coates described how Graff may contribute to the case.

You know, all this time we've been hearing about the tabloids of Karen McDougal, of Stormy Daniels and the perception, of course, in the Access Hollywood tape, it's been referenced, although not actually played, because it's too prejudicial according to the judge is painting the picture of somebody who is not respectful of women. This is a woman testifying about a 34 year professional relationship where she is respected for her intelligence, where she is being treated fairly. This exactly what the defense want to accomplish at this hour.

'Pro-Palestinian student encampments across the country's, higher education institutions have helped inspire other students across the world. CNN's Melissa Bell is in the heart of Paris, where students are demanding their institutions break ties with Israeli companies and entities.

I think what's remarkable is how similarly so many of the demands of these students are, they say they're acting, having inspiration from what's happening in American universities in solidarity with Palestinians, and essentially calling both for an end to the war in Gaza, but also for their own academic establishment to boycott any companies still doing business with Israel. And this is something that you're seeing spreading in other European countries as well, in Germany, in the United Kingdom as well. This Friday, we've seen protests inspired by what's happening over the U.S..

'As the campus protests continue. A bipartisan push is emerging on Capitol Hill to impose a third party anti-Semitism monitor on any college or university receiving federal funding in an effort to combat anti-Semitism.

More aid for Ukraine is on the way. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin made the announcement of the largest aid package to date.

Also pleased to announce today an additional commitment of $6 billion through our Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative. It will include critical interceptors for Ukraine's Patriot and, they say, air defense systems, more counter drone systems and support equipment. Significant amounts of artillery, ammunition and air to ground munitions, and maintenance and sustainment support.

The package will allow the U.S. to purchase new equipment produced by the American defense industry for the Ukrainian military. This comes just days after the U.S. announced a $1 billion package that would provide equipment to Ukraine from U.S. stocks.

A new report from Human Rights Watch has found that Burkina Faso's military in February summarily executed about 223 villagers, including at least 56 children. The watchdog reports it was part of a campaign against civilians accused of collaborating with jihadist militants. A regional prosecutor based in Burkina Faso first flagged the killings in a statement on March 1st. Human Rights Watch conducted its own investigation by interviewing witnesses and local civil society activists and reviewing footage shared by survivors. The spokesperson for the Burkina Faso government did not respond to phone calls seeking comment on the watchdog's report.

U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said Friday that a proposed ban on menthol cigarets in the U.S. will, quote, take significantly more time. Adding, quote, it's clear that there are still more conversations to have. All flavors in cigarets were banned in 2009, but menthol was left out after lobbying from the industry, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration first said in April 2022 it will ban the popular mint flavor, setting a deadline of August 2023. But that deadline was moved to March after more lobbying. A coalition of civil rights and medical organizations sued the FDA earlier this month for missing that deadline.
