Takashi Murakami

Takashi Murakami is one of the world's most renowned artists, and the founder of "Superflat," a style blurring the boundaries of high and low culture. His distinctive artworks -- which span paintings, sculptures, animation and even music videos -- are fun and profound in equal measure, informed by everything from contemporary pop culture to the 2011 Fukushima disaster. In July 2019, Murakami joined CNN Style as guest editor, which saw the Japanese artist commissioning a series of features exploring the theme of identity.
